A.\u00a0 Clogs are cleared with plungers through the process of water displacement.\u00a0 The more water pushed towards the clog per plunge determines the ability of the plunger.\u00a0 Standard designed rubber cup plungers displace about 2-4 cups of water per plunge.\u00a0 The \u201cbellows design\u201d Master Plunger displaces between 8-10 cups per plunge, depending on the model.<\/p>\n

Q.\u00a0 Which plungers are more sanitary, standard plungers or Master Plunger?<\/b><\/p>\n

A.\u00a0 The Master Plunger is far more sanitary.\u00a0 Standard plungers are made of porous rubber meaning that bacteria gets inside the pores and does not rinse off.\u00a0 The Master Plunger is made using high quality plastic that is smooth and can easily be rinsed clean.<\/p>\n

A.\u00a0 The MP1600, Master Plunger is designed for low-flush toilets.\u00a0 In 1999 toilets changed from standard flush to low flush, meaning the throat of the toilet was moved from a vertical to a horizontal design.\u00a0 This is the only plunger that conforms 90 degrees to fit tightly into a horizontal throat giving the plunger much more plunging power.<\/p>\n

Q.\u00a0 What does the \u201cAir Slot\u201d on the handle of the MP500 and MP1600 do?<\/b><\/p>\n

A.\u00a0 It prevents water overflow by allowing air to escape through the handle of the plunger when submerging the plunger into the toilet water.\u00a0 This is achieved by simply twisting the handle \u00bc\u201d to the left, opening the air slot.\u00a0 As the plunger is placed into the toilet and the bellows fills with water, the air from the bellows is released through the handle prohibiting the stopped up water in the toilet bowl from going onto the floor.\u00a0 Once the plunger is fitted into the throat of the toilet, twist the handle to the right (until tight) closing the air slot.\u00a0 You now have 8 cups of water, loaded and ready to plunge towards the clog.<\/p>\n

Q.\u00a0 What is the purpose of a surface plunger?<\/b><\/p>\n
