Before we replaced our hardware store house brand garbage disposer with a new Waste King (which liquefies food waste instead of turning it into sewer pesto), kitchen sink drain clogs were at least a twice-a-year event. A SoCal plumber advertises on the radio that he’ll clear almost any clog for “just $99”, so I’m already a few hundred bucks ahead. Most recently, I used the Drain King to blast a clog out of a slow shower drain at my mother’s house. A plumber had ballparked an estimate of around $2,500 for a worst-case scenario after repeated uses of chemical drain cleaners and plungers had failed. With nothing to lose, I called in the Drain King and His Majesty did not disappoint. A nearby garden hose was long enough to reach to the shower drain, so I shoved the Drain King in as far as it would go and held it in place while my mother turned on the water. The Drain King sang its distinctive song. I knew it was working because if the water had backed up with nowhere to go, the pulsating sound would have slowed to a stop. Instead, I let it work for a full five minutes, followed by a 10-minute hot water flush.
Clean drain, happy mother, and another $99 saved. Long live the King!
I have to say Thank You for a great product. My kitchen sink/garbage disposal would send things down the drainpipe and wind up forming a clog about 20 feet downstream, where it fed into the main drain line. This was a constant problem where we discontinued using the disposal. Occasionally, we would have something in the disposal, or put eggshells down, hoping it was safe. Well, again water was backing up, so I tried a chemical drain cleaner with no reaction, then snaked the pipe three times, knowing I did the full length of pipe. Assuming that had to work, I reassembled the piping again, only to find out each time it failed to clear the clog. Finally searching on YouTube, I came across a 19 minute video where the guy tried about $100 or more worth of chemicals and gadgets until he came across the DrainKing. He stated it cleared his problem within 5 minutes. I was about ready to call a plumber, but said I may as well give it a try. Stopping at Lowe’s, I was disappointed that they carried a competitive brand. The salesman there was nice enough to suggest buying a short length of garden hose and a ball valve (with hose thread connections) to be able to control the flow at the worksite instead of at the faucet. Great idea. I actually went to two other hardware stores, each carrying a competitor’s brand. Neither claimed to have the pulsating feature that the DrainKing had. I did find it at an Ace Hardware location. Once home, I inserted the bladder under the sink, where the pipe went into the wall. It immediately started with a humming noise, which concerned me, but everything was sealed. I checked the cleanout plug in the basement to make sure that was sealed properly, which it was. While in the basement, the hum increased and then, all of a sudden, within two minutes it stopped and you could hear water flowing quietly through the pipe. I have to say I am amazed.
I have been having Sewer issues at my Trailer off in on for a few years. My Landlord has said its my responsibility, since the Septic Tank is not full to the top. I have spent fists fulls of money on Commercial Grade Drain cleaners and Drain Snakes to no avail. In my search for a cheaper solution then having a professional plumber come out, I ran across the Drain King and boy am I glad that I did. I bought it after reading reviews and bought a hose to go with it. I hooked it up to the bathroom sink used the included adapter so i wouldn’t have to shove it in a pipe and placed the adapter and Drain King over the tubs drain. Within seconds of turning it on I heard and felt the pipes groan and shake and the pressure the drain king sent down the pipe broke free all the crud that was blocking the pipes. I use the drain king once every few months just to make sure nothing else gets stuck and the drain king has kept my pipes clean with no back ups.
Your products are pure genius. Been a fan of the other, but had occation to borrow a friend’s Pumps-A-Lot. Great stuff. Pumped out most of the pool using the main pump, but always have some left in the bottom. Pumps-A-Lot took care of that in ten minutes. Will buy one and use it to speed up the draining next time.
These product’s are AWESOME! Saved me thousand of dollars to replace the sewer line. I have tried multiple methods: snake, water jetter, drano max gel etc… all did not work. Previous home owner had to clean the sewer line every six months, each time costs $500. My house has about 10′ belly and the drain king H34 MAGICALLY CLEANED our sewer line.
Planning to buy another one to save for future use.
I have never used a better toilet plunger in my life. This one is totally awesome and is the best by far. This is by far the best I’ve ever used or seen. It’s worth three times the price I paid. I highly recommend it!
